Role Overview
HMG America is seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant for a critical onsite role in the Chicago/Normal, IL area. This position requires a professional with a deep understanding of financial processes and technical SAP configuration. You will be responsible for managing and handling clients in a client-facing role, ensuring that SAP solutions meet business requirements and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in AMS (Application Management Services) projects for US-based clients, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP FICO implementations, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and detailed design.
- Configure SAP FICO modules to meet business needs, including GL, AR, AP, AA, and CO.
- Manage client relationships and act as a primary point of contact for financial system inquiries.
- Oversee the full testing lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide training and change management support to end-users.
- Coordinate with offshore and remote AMS teams to ensure continuous support and project delivery.
- Track daily status of developments and prepare effort estimates for new requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration with other SAP ECC modules such as BRIM, Concur, MM, and SD.
Technical Requirements
- 8-10 years of relevant SAP FICO consulting experience.
- Strong expertise in Electronic Bank Statements (EBS), Customer Payments, and DMEE Tree structures.
- Proficiency in House Bank setup, Interfaces, and Vendor Payment processing.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance close processes and the CLOCO tool.
- Experience with SAP tables, sets, validations, and substitution rules.
- Knowledge of RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) and custom solutions.
- Experience handling interfaces with 3rd party systems via ALE, Idoc, and Flat Files.
- Integration experience with Vertex and non-SAP connected applications.
Professional Qualifications
- Qualified Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance or a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions.
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to redesign and map complex processes.
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical and functional teams.
- Ability to work onsite in the Chicago/Normal, IL area as required by the project.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
