Role: SAP Finance Delivery Manager
We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Delivery Manager to lead and manage SAP implementations with direct accountability for successful Finance module implementations. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP S/4 HANA and its integration points with other business functions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive transformative strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee SAP Finance implementations across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Consolidation.
- Ensure successful delivery of SAP Finance projects, meeting scope, timeline, and budget objectives.
- Provide functional expertise and guidance on IT enablement of SAP business processes, particularly within an S/4 HANA construct.
- Deeply understand and manage integration points with other critical business functions (e.g., Logistics, Order-to-Cash, Procurement).
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including internal business, technical, and external consulting teams.
- Develop and execute outcome-oriented strategies to drive business transformation.
- Build and sustain meaningful business relationships with stakeholders.
- Act as a constructive challenger, driving solutions by facilitating different perspectives and challenging the status quo.
- Manage and collaborate effectively in a global setup with peers, leaders, and teams across geographies, demonstrating cross-cultural competence.
- Drive results in multi-partner environments spanning multiple geographies.
- Ensure high-caliber dashboarding, reporting, analytics, and thought leadership.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- SAP Finance Modules: Must have managed prior SAP implementations with direct accountability for successful Finance implementation across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Consolidation.
- S/4 HANA Proficiency: Excellent functional knowledge and demonstrated proficiency for IT enablement of SAP business processes in an S/4 HANA construct.
- Integration Knowledge: Deep knowledge of integration points with other functions is mandatory (e.g., Logistics, Order-to-Cash, Procurement).
- Global Implementations: Participated in multiple full-cycle global SAP implementations.
- Team Management: Managed S4 HANA or SAP implementation teams, both internal and vendor partners.
- Leadership Skills: Solid managerial, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to create and execute outcome-oriented strategies.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong oral, written, and presentation skills. Ability to manage and collaborate with diverse teams. Experience working in a cross-cultural context.
- Mindset: High learning agility with an outcome-oriented and transformative mindset. Must be a constructive challenger/assertive.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10-12 years of IT experience in end-user industry, IT consulting, or IT Product-based firms.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience directly managing S4 HANA or SAP implementations in workstreams such as Sales & Distribution, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics, Procurement, Analytics, or Enterprise Data Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training & certification in Program Management (PMP, etc.).
- SAP Functional module certifications.
This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage complex projects across geographies. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong track record in SAP Finance delivery.
