Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HR Compensation & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is accountable for delivering a cloned or new country Payroll system that meets specifications and operational readiness. You will act as the technical subject-matter expert for the chosen system, driving vendor selection and solution design. Your responsibilities will include ensuring requirements are translated into a validated Blueprint, and supporting testing, cutover, and hypercare phases to ensure a smooth handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the build of the cloned/new system in accordance with the requirements provided.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the chosen SAP HR systems for a specific country.
  • Assist with Vendor evaluation, selection, contracting, and choosing the optimal service delivery model.
  • Lead solution design, capturing all country-specific requirements into a Blueprint, and work closely with vendors to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Author test scenarios and scripts to cover all new/cloned functionality to be tested.
  • Collaborate with Development Leads (DLs) and Project Managers (PMs) on issues and risks related to product performance or quality, ensuring blockers are addressed.
  • Define authorization and role matrix for access and user provisioning.
  • Assist Training, Operations, and Process teams with system features and functionalities to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Resolve configuration and functional issues, specializing in the compensation management module of SAP HR.
  • Support the implementation of SAP HR Compensation Management, Payroll, and Benefits modules.
  • Utilize business knowledge and expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the client’s business environment to achieve expected business results.
  • Specialties include implementation planning, fit analysis, configuration, testing, rollout, and post-implementation support.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in the Payroll domain.
  • Knowledge of ADP Globalview is considered helpful.
  • Experience leading design workshop sessions through each phase of the SDLC lifecycle.
  • Ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders, including clients (business & JJT combined), implementation partners, and vendors, to address concerns and clear impediments.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in SAP HR Compensation Management, Payroll, and Benefits modules.
  • Familiarity with vendor evaluation and selection processes.
  • Experience in defining authorization and role matrices.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid role based in Jersey City, NJ. We are looking for a candidate who can bring deep expertise in SAP HR modules, particularly Compensation and Payroll, to drive successful system implementations and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Jersey City, NJ
