Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Project Manager with a strong background in client expectation management to lead and oversee end-to-end SAP supply chain projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the successful implementation, support, and optimization of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Order Based Planning (OBP), Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), and S/4 HANA modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to scope, schedule, cost, and quality baselines by applying Project Management best practices (PM 101).
- Manage the full project lifecycle, encompassing requirement gathering, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project success by actively chasing and managing dependencies.
- Effectively manage dependencies across multiple vendors and parallel programs that may impact IBP testing and deployment cycles.
- Oversee and coordinate resources, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies throughout all project phases.
- Manage stakeholder communications, provide regular status reporting, and lead change management activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on SAP supply chain planning modules and industry best practices.
- Lead projects focused on APO, OBP, and S4 HANA, with a particular emphasis on Demand Planning and Supply Chain optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 11 to 15 years of overall IT/consulting experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in SAP Supply Chain modules (IBP, OBP, APO, S/4 HANA).
- Demonstrated strong expertise in Demand Planning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP).
- Proven track record in successfully managing SAP projects, particularly SAP IBP implementation projects.
- Good knowledge of SAP IBP modules covering Demand, Supply, and Inventory Planning.
- Solid experience in tracking projects using Jira for defect management and reporting.
- Experience managing projects involving S/4 HANA and APO SNP modules is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and proven stakeholder management capabilities.
- PMP, Prince2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to relocate as needed.
- Software Development background is beneficial.
- 5-7 years of dedicated Project Management / Program Coordination experience.
- Experience in planning or supply chain implementation projects.
- Hands-on exposure to SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or similar advanced planning platforms.
- Strong understanding of project dependencies and delivery management principles.
- Experience utilizing Jira for project tracking and management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities are required.
Additional Information
- This is a 100% onsite role in Santa Clara, CA.
- The duration is for 10+ months, with potential for extension.
- The project is currently in SIT, with multiple SIT and UAT cycles anticipated due to parallel projects.
- Preference will be given to local candidates to Santa Clara, CA, or those ready to relocate immediately.
Special Requirements
100% Onsite. Local to San Clara, CA/ Second Preference: Ready to relocate immediately. Jira for defect management & Jira reporting. PMP or Prince2 or another relevant certification is a plus. Willingness to relocate.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $75 – $95 per year (Estimated)
