Position Overview: SAP Manufacturing & MES Integration Lead
We are looking for a seasoned SAP Manufacturing & MES Integration Lead to join a high-profile project in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device manufacturing industry. This is a hybrid role based in the Irvine / Newport Beach area of Southern California. The ideal candidate will be a functional expert with deep knowledge of SAP S4HANA Manufacturing and extensive experience in integrating SAP with various Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This role requires a leader who can navigate the complexities of a regulated pharma environment and drive large-scale manufacturing rollouts.
Core Responsibilities and Leadership
- Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary functional expert for SAP S4HANA Manufacturing, ensuring the system meets the rigorous demands of pharmaceutical device production.
- MES Integration: Design, develop, and implement robust integration patterns between SAP and various MES platforms to ensure real-time data exchange and operational efficiency.
- Manufacturing Rollouts: Lead the rollout of new manufacturing units within both SAP and MES environments, managing the end-to-end lifecycle from design to go-live.
- S4HANA Upgrades: Execute hands-on upgrades within the SAP S4HANA environment, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Executive Communication: Facilitate and lead Steering Committee meetings, providing clear updates to executive leadership on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure all manufacturing processes and system configurations adhere to industry-specific regulations and quality standards inherent in the Pharma sector.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with plant managers, IT leads, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational goals.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Must have a strong background in the Pharma or Medical Device manufacturing industry.
- Deep functional knowledge of Manufacturing modules within SAP S4HANA.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in SAP Manufacturing and MES integration.
- Proven track record of designing and developing complex integrations between SAP and third-party MES systems.
- Experience leading at least two hands-on upgrades in SAP S4HANA.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead high-level executive meetings and Steering Committees.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)
