Role Overview: Senior SAP MDG Consultant
As we move into 2026, the landscape of enterprise resource planning is dominated by large-scale S/4HANA business transformations. We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to serve as a Data Lead for a global program based in Raritan, New Jersey. This onsite role is critical for organizations looking to harness the full power of their data assets through robust governance, migration, and management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Lead large-scale, global S/4HANA business transformation programs with a focus on data integrity and business value.
- Design and implement comprehensive SAP MDG solutions, establishing governance frameworks that ensure data consistency across the enterprise.
- Conduct high-level workshops with client stakeholders and business process leads to define data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee complex data migration strategies, utilizing tools like SAP BODS to ensure seamless transitions from legacy systems to S/4HANA.
- Manage and mentor a team of consultants and client members, providing expert-level guidance on master and transactional data structures.
- Develop business cases and proposals, leveraging over six years of experience in strategic development to drive project approval and success.
- Monitor industry-specific KPIs to ensure that S/4HANA functionality is fully optimized to meet business objectives.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Data Lead in at least five (5) full life cycle ERP implementations.
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA master data elements and leading practices in data governance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MDG implementation, including the configuration of governance modules.
- Extensive knowledge of integration points across various SAP modules including Finance, Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse Management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at the executive level.
- Ability to be hands-on with technical configurations when required while maintaining a strategic project management perspective.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
