Role Overview
Quantum World Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) Solution Consultant for a critical 100% remote engagement. This role is designed for a technical expert who possesses deep hands-on experience in the S/4HANA Advanced Planning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex production planning solutions for our global clients, specifically within the manufacturing and automotive sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP ePP/DS solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Configure and optimize advanced planning features including interactive production planning, detailed scheduling, and heuristics.
- Manage complex scheduling constraints using the Planning Board and Production Planning Table.
- Implement multilevel scheduling and sequencing to ensure optimal production flow and resource utilization.
- Utilize pegging and model mix planning to align production with demand and supply chain constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PP/DS with Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory Management.
- Develop automated responses to changes in the planning situation to maintain production stability.
- Configure sub-daily buckets, telescopic time buckets, and time-dependent safety stock settings.
- Provide expert guidance on multi-level constraint-based production planning.
Technical Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in SAP Production Planning, with a heavy focus on PP/DS.
- Proven track record of implementing SAP ePP/DS in discrete manufacturing or automotive industries.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Advanced Planning capabilities.
- Strong understanding of E2E supply chain processes including manufacturing and logistics.
- Experience with Cross-Location Planning and automated planning workflows.
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Domain Expertise & Soft Skills
- Preferred experience in the Automotive manufacturing or Repetitive manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional social and communication skills for collaborative team environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex supply chain challenges.
Project Details
This is a 6+ month contract opportunity offering a 100% remote work arrangement. Candidates must be prepared to work within US time zones and engage in high-level solutioning for enterprise-scale manufacturing environments. We are looking for a consultant who can hit the ground running and provide immediate value through their specialized PP/DS expertise.
Special Requirements
Manufacturing/Automotive domain experience preferred. Candidates must have strong hands-on SAP PPDS experience; profiles with only PP or QM experience will not be considered.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
