Role Overview

We are seeking a highly specialized SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) Consultant for a high-visibility project located in Raritan, NJ. This role is essential for helping our finance stakeholders optimize their profitability and cost allocation models using the latest SAP PaPM technology. As a subject matter expert, you will lead the full implementation lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and business analysis to system configuration, testing, and long-term production support. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex financial modeling in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and implement sophisticated SAP PaPM models tailored to meet specific business requirements for profitability and cost allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to gather and analyze complex business requirements, ensuring that the technical solution aligns with strategic financial objectives.
  • Translate high-level business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for system implementation and enhancement.
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced calculation, allocation, and simulation models within the SAP PaPM environment to drive business insights.
  • Manage and optimize the integration of SAP PaPM with other critical enterprise data sources, including SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Execute comprehensive unit testing, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, and provide expert technical assistance during go-live and cutover activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide ongoing production support to ensure the stability and performance of the PaPM environment.
  • Prepare high-quality functional documentation, user manuals, and training materials for both end-users and technical support teams.
  • Stay current with SAP PaPM product updates and best practices to provide continuous improvement recommendations to the client.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience within the SAP ecosystem, with a focus on Finance and Controlling modules.
  • Extensive hands-on experience specifically with SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM), formerly known as FS-PER.
  • Deep understanding of Finance and Controlling (FICO) processes, including costing, allocations, and profitability analysis.
  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or SAP BW is highly preferred for integration purposes.
  • Strong technical understanding of data modeling, data integration techniques, and overall system architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and interpret complex financial data structures.
  • Superior communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain technical SAP concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • At least one full-cycle SAP PaPM implementation or a significant support project experience is highly preferred.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
