Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) Consultant for a critical 9-month remote engagement. This role is designed for a technical expert who can navigate the complexities of revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards. As a key member of the financial transformation team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation and optimization of the SAP RAR module, ensuring that all revenue-related data is captured, processed, and reported with absolute precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP RAR solutions to meet complex business requirements.
- Configure Performance Obligations (POBs), contract management, and fulfillment criteria within the RAR framework.
- Integrate SAP RAR with upstream modules including Sales and Distribution (SD), Hybris, and third-party billing systems.
- Manage the integration with SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) to ensure seamless posting to the Universal Journal.
- Utilize BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus) to define and maintain complex revenue recognition rules.
- Oversee data migration activities, including the transition of legacy revenue contracts into the SAP RAR environment.
- Conduct comprehensive unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide expert guidance on accounting policies and how they translate into SAP technical configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to revenue calculation, contract modifications, and period-end closing.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Finance, with at least 4 years dedicated to SAP RAR.
- Proven track record of at least two full-lifecycle SAP RAR implementations.
- Deep understanding of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and the Universal Journal architecture.
- Proficiency in BRF+ for revenue rule configuration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP SD pricing, billing, and contract management.
- Experience with SAP Fiori for RAR reporting and monitoring.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- SAP Certification in Financial Accounting or Revenue Accounting is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Visa: GC/USC only. Must be based in US. Alignment: C2C.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90 – $135 per year (Estimated)
