Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S4 MM/SD Functional PIR Consultant to join our dynamic team for a critical project with CVS. This remote position requires a professional who can take full ownership of functional specifications and solution design within the S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both Material Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) modules, with a specific emphasis on functional expertise over pure supply chain logistics. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that all SAP solutions align with organizational goals, particularly within finance and accounting domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of writing, reviewing, and maintaining comprehensive functional specifications for SAP MM and SD modules in an S/4HANA landscape.
- Collaborate extensively with offshore ABAP development teams to ensure that technical builds accurately reflect functional requirements and business logic.
- Lead and contribute to solution design sessions, providing expert guidance on SAP best practices and S/4HANA capabilities.
- Engage with key business stakeholders, specifically within finance and accounting departments, to gather requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
- Oversee and support various testing phases, including integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), while managing defect resolution and knowledge transfer.
- Provide critical support for ECC-to-S/4HANA migration activities, ensuring data integrity and process continuity during greenfield or brownfield transitions.
- Maintain rigorous documentation standards to support project audits and future system enhancements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Extensive functional expertise in SAP MM and SD, including deep configuration knowledge and a proven track record of high-quality documentation.
- Hands-on experience in S/4HANA environments, including familiarity with RISE with SAP, greenfield implementations, or brownfield migrations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and manage tight project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A robust understanding of SAP finance and accounting processes, which is considered more critical for this role than traditional supply chain experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SAP concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to provide a manager-level reference (including LinkedIn profile and contact details) at the time of submittal.
- Candidates must be willing to complete an AI-based assessment as part of the initial screening process.
Work Environment and Culture
This is a fully remote position; however, please note that candidates located in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone will not be considered for this specific engagement. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
