Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior SAP S4HANA Data Migration Developer to join our professional services team. This consultant will be instrumental in supporting the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) Information Technology (IT) Department. The primary focus of this engagement is the development and deployment of the Unified Back Office Solution (UBOS). UBOS represents a cutting-edge technology initiative designed to transform customer engagement through a variety of digital channels, including mobile applications, chatbots, IVR, and social media platforms. This is a long-term contract opportunity requiring a blend of technical mastery in SAP BODS and strategic data migration planning.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders to define data requirements, ensuring the highest levels of data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Analyze complex data requirements to develop robust migration strategies and execute efficient data transfers from legacy systems to modern SAP environments.
- Partner with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) specialists to facilitate the movement of data into S4 HANA and SQL Server databases.
- Design, develop, and implement sophisticated ETL processes using SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS), specifically targeting migrations to SAP S/4HANA and BRIM modules.
- Utilize the SAP HANA Migration Cockpit to design and execute seamless data transitions.
- Perform rigorous data validation and reconciliation post-migration to identify and resolve any discrepancies or data quality issues.
- Maintain comprehensive data models and integration processes to support ongoing business operations and advanced analytics.
- Ensure all migration activities comply with established data governance and security policies.
- Produce detailed technical and functional documentation, including design diagrams, test plans, and impact analysis reports as required by the PTC standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to ETL processes and data transformations in a timely manner.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in data development, with at least 2 years focused specifically on SAP BODS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and complex data transformation processes.
- Proficiency in SAP BODS, S4 HANA, and SQL Server is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with SAP data migration tools including Migration Cockpit, IDocs, BAPI, EMIGALL, and LSMW.
- Experience in developing Custom Migration Objects and a working knowledge of ABAP is a significant plus.
- Proven track record of migrating data for core SAP modules such as Finance, Materials Management, and Sales & Distribution.

Special Requirements
Hybrid work environment: 1-week per month on-site in Middletown, PA. Domain: Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
