Job Description: SAP S/4HANA EWM Functional Consultant (Mid-Senior Level)
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA EWM Functional Consultant with extensive experience in Embedded EWM, manufacturing (ETO), and end-to-end supply chain integration. This role is crucial for supporting an ECCS/4 transformation within the Aerospace & Defense industry. The position is remote, and candidates must be US Citizens only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for SAP EWM within S/4HANA.
- Design and optimize inbound, outbound, and production-integrated warehouse processes.
- Support complex distribution center (DC) network design and execution strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Finance (FIN), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Manufacturing (MFG), and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Ensure tight integration between EWM and production planning/execution in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) scenarios.
- Provide expertise on S/4HANA Embedded EWM, including migration considerations from decentralized/legacy EWM environments.
- Identify and address cross-module process dependencies and integration points.
- Participate in solution workshops, gap analysis, and blueprinting activities.
- Support testing cycles (SIT/UAT) and assist with deployment readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of SAP SCM experience, with a strong focus on SAP EWM.
- Proven experience delivering SAP EWM functional solutions in complex environments.
- Hands-on experience with: Inbound/outbound logistics, Production integration (EWM-PP integration), Warehouse execution in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with S/4HANA Embedded EWM.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional integration (MM, PP, SD, FI).
- Experience in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) or highly customized manufacturing environments.
- Ability to create detailed Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work in distributed teams.
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry environments is highly preferred.
- Prior involvement in ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Experience transitioning from decentralized EWM to embedded EWM.
- Exposure to complex DC networks and global supply chains.
Program Overview:
We are supporting a global system integrator engaged with one of the world’s largest Aerospace & Defense organizations as they embark on Release 3 of a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This initiative is focused on migrating from SAP ECC and legacy environments into a modern, integrated S/4HANA landscape. This phase emphasizes Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing across highly complex, regulated environments, including missile systems, jet aircraft manufacturing, and aftermarket services and MRO.
This is a contract role with a duration of 6+ months, with a high likelihood of extension as it is part of a multi-year program.
Special Requirements
Only US s are allowed, and naturalized s must be able to provide a certificate of naturalization. Work Authorization: U.S. ship required with Naturalization certificate is mandatory. Candidates must be U.S. s only.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
