Role Overview: SAP SD Lead Consultant
The SAP SD Consultant will serve as a technical and functional lead for high-priority projects within a dynamic enterprise environment located in Sunnyvale, California. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience who can navigate the complexities of the Sales and Distribution module while maintaining seamless integration with other SAP components. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the architectural vision of the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle, ensuring that business requirements are translated into robust, scalable technical solutions. This position requires a hybrid work arrangement, combining the benefits of remote flexibility with the collaborative advantages of on-site presence in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Lead cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of SAP implementations, from initial requirement gathering to post-go-live support.
- Design and develop comprehensive Functional Specification documents that serve as the blueprint for API testing and custom ABAP developments.
- Facilitate high-level brainstorming sessions with stakeholders, project managers, and business analysts to define complex logic and system enhancements.
- Manage the critical integration points between SAP SD, Materials Management (MM), and Financial Accounting (FI) to ensure end-to-end data consistency.
- Oversee the validation of system flows, ensuring that all SAP configurations meet the rigorous standards of the project’s technical requirements.
- Provide expert guidance to the technical team by articulating complex ABAP issues and assisting in the debugging of intricate system errors.
- Coordinate testing efforts between Automation API teams and SAP-ABAP teams to ensure high-quality delivery of digital solutions.
- Maintain a strong focus on project management, utilizing excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet weekly delivery milestones.
- Participate in core team meetings to report on progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies to leadership.
Technical Proficiency and Environment
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both SAP and non-SAP system connectivity, allowing for the seamless exchange of data across the enterprise landscape. A significant portion of this role involves working within the Mac OS environment, which is a unique requirement for this specific client. Furthermore, experience with SAP S/4 HANA, particularly within the Apple ecosystem, is highly desirable and will be a key differentiator for top-tier candidates. Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
