Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP SD Lead to direct the design, implementation, and global rollout of SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) processes. This role is critical for a major pharmaceutical initiative, focusing on the standardization of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes across the United States, India, and Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the SAP solution meets complex US pharmaceutical commercial sales requirements while maintaining global compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA SD across multiple global business units. You will own the complete O2C lifecycle, including sales order processing, delivery, billing, returns, and credit/debit management.
- Pharma Domain Expertise: Design specialized SAP SD solutions tailored for the US pharmaceutical market, including distributor-based sales models, complex pricing agreements, chargebacks, rebates, and promotions.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD and other modules such as FICO, MM, WM/EWM, PP, and QM. You will also lead integrations with external 3PLs, EDI platforms, and logistics partners.
- Implementation Lifecycle: Manage all phases of the S/4HANA implementation, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support.
- Data Governance: Oversee SD master data governance, including customer master records, pricing hierarchies, and data consistency across the enterprise.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure all SD processes comply with stringent pharmaceutical industry controls and are ready for internal and external audits.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary SAP SD point of contact for US stakeholders, leading system integrators and mentoring junior SAP consultants.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 15 to 18 years of dedicated SAP SD experience, with a significant portion spent in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- S/4HANA Expertise: A minimum of 3 to 5 full end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of O2C, pricing, billing, and returns. Strong integration knowledge with FICO and supply chain modules.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead large-scale global rollouts and manage cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with US pharmaceutical wholesalers and distributors.
- Familiarity with advanced ATP (aATP) and Settlement Management.
- Experience with global template standardization and localized legal requirements in India and Ireland.
This is a 6+ month Contract-to-Hire position requiring 3 days onsite in Bridgewater, NJ. Candidates must be GC, USC, or EAD holders; H1B and OPT candidates will not be considered for this role. The position offers a competitive C2C rate of $100/hr for qualified experts.
