This pivotal role is for a highly experienced SAP SD OTC Consultant to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team in St. Louis, MO. The position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring a dedicated onsite presence every other week to foster collaboration and direct engagement with project teams and stakeholders. The consultant will be instrumental in developing, executing, and maintaining robust SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, ensuring seamless integration across modules and optimal system performance. A significant and ongoing focus will be on supporting and leading aspects of SAP S/4HANA implementations and providing comprehensive post-go-live support. This role demands a proactive individual with a deep understanding of SAP best practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP Functional Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and meticulously execute comprehensive test plans and test scripts specifically tailored for SAP SD and OTC processes. This includes, but is not limited to, Sales Order creation and management, complex Pricing procedures, Billing processes, Credit Management functionalities, and critical Integration with Finance (FI). Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business users and technical developers, to ensure thorough and exhaustive testing of integrations with external systems such as tax engines (e.g., Vertex) and various third-party logistics or document management systems. Proactively identify, meticulously document, and diligently track defects, ensuring their timely resolution and subsequent retesting to validate fixes. Perform rigorous regression testing to guarantee system stability and integrity following any changes, enhancements, or upgrades. Validate end-to-end OTC process flows, encompassing all stages from order entry through delivery, shipment, and final invoicing scenarios.
  • Training & User Enablement Programs: Design, develop, and deliver highly effective training programs for end-users on SAP OTC processes. These programs will cover essential areas such as Sales Order Management, Billing procedures, and Credit Management. Create high-quality, user-friendly training materials, comprehensive user guides, and detailed documentation to support efficient SAP system usage and promote best practices across the organization. Conduct engaging workshops and hands-on training sessions to significantly enhance user proficiency and confidence in utilizing OTC functionalities. Provide continuous, responsive support and training to users, promptly addressing their queries and expertly troubleshooting any issues related to SAP OTC modules.
  • Documentation & Process Management Excellence: Create detailed and precise documentation for all SAP OTC configurations, including intricate process flows, critical system settings, and essential integration points. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all SAP S/4HANA implementations and ongoing support activities, ensuring a reliable knowledge base. Document business process designs and workflows, ensuring strict alignment with SAP best practices and the organization’s specific operational requirements. Develop and meticulously maintain comprehensive documentation for testing procedures, detailed test scripts, and the entire defect resolution process.
  • Additional Strategic Responsibilities: Ensure seamless and robust integration with other vital SAP domains, including Finance (FI), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP), as well as managing cross-functional SAP Master Data to maintain data consistency and accuracy. Actively participate in and contribute expertise to SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, providing invaluable support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning to go-live. Continuously identify opportunities and implement improvements in testing, training, and documentation processes to enhance overall system efficiency, user satisfaction, and operational effectiveness. Provide critical post-go-live support to users and actively support future waves of implementation and system enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of extensive, hands-on experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) / OTC domain and configuration expertise.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and deep knowledge in key areas such as Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Credit Management, and Delivery Processing.
  • Strong understanding of integration principles with Finance (FI), Materials Management (MM), and external third-party tax engines (e.g., Vertex).
  • Excellent business process design experience specifically with SAP OTC and its related integrations.
  • Profound understanding of cross-functional SAP Master Data concepts and management.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing testing strategies, building comprehensive test scripts, and delivering effective training to end-users is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation and support experiences are required.
  • Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and external logistics integrations is considered a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment, adapting to both remote and onsite work requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $75 – $95 per year (Estimated)
