Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled SAP SD SCM Order Management Consultant to join our team for a long-term onsite engagement in Addison, IL. This role is critical for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP OTC (Order to Cash) processes, ensuring seamless integration with business needs from initial order creation through to final payment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and implement SAP OTC processes, ensuring they meet business needs from order creation to final payment.
- Analyze complex business processes, gather detailed requirements from various stakeholders and business groups, and translate these into effective functional and technical solutions within the SAP environment.
- Develop comprehensive functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, and forms within the SAP system, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Demonstrate proficiency in creating detailed functional specifications and maintaining thorough project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Possess a strong ability to analyze intricate issues, accurately identify root causes, and recommend effective, sustainable solutions.
- Understand and align SAP solutions with overarching business goals and strategic objectives, ensuring technology supports business growth.
- Create detailed test scenarios and provide comprehensive support during various testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring a successful go-live.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and defects within the SAP OTC module, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Deliver comprehensive user training, ongoing support, and expert guidance to business users on SAP functionality, best practices, and system optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of SAP SD/SCM modules with other SAP components and external systems.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP functionalities, industry trends, and best practices in Order Management and Supply Chain Management.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and solution design for potential clients.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to foster a collaborative and learning environment.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the SAP system, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
- Participate in system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their evolving needs and providing proactive solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in SAP SD and SCM modules, with a strong focus on Order Management processes.
- Proven experience in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP OTC solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP SD functionalities, including sales order processing, pricing, billing, and delivery.
- Experience with SAP SCM modules, particularly related to order fulfillment and supply chain planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of successfully resolving complex SAP issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an onsite environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in SD or SCM are a plus.
