Opportunity: SAP Security Consultant (Contract)
K-Tek Resourcing is currently seeking a seasoned SAP Security Consultant for a high-impact contract engagement in Raleigh, NC. This role is critical for our client’s ongoing digital transformation and requires a consultant who can hit the ground running on day one. Working in partnership with HCL America, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of security protocols across a modern SAP landscape, with a specific focus on SAP HANA and S/4 HANA environments.
Core Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP HANA security solutions, ensuring that all database and application-level access is strictly controlled and audited.
- Manage user and role administration within SAP S/4 HANA, including the creation of complex authorization objects and the maintenance of the role hierarchy.
- Configure and customize security settings within SAP HANA to align with corporate governance and compliance standards.
- Implement and manage SAP Fiori security settings, ensuring secure access for mobile and web-based users across various business modules.
- Integrate SAP HANA security with other enterprise modules, including SD, MM, WM, PP, PM, and GTS, to provide a seamless and secure user experience.
- Oversee SAP BW/4HANA security integration, managing data access and analytical privileges for business intelligence users.
- Conduct comprehensive security audits and compliance checks, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing remediation strategies.
- Manage SAP HANA encryption and data protection mechanisms to safeguard sensitive corporate information.
- Stay current with SAP HANA security patches and updates, coordinating with the basis team to ensure the environment remains secure against emerging threats.
Professional Requirements and Skills
- Extensive experience with SAP HANA database security and S/4 HANA implementations.
- Deep knowledge of SAP authentication and authorization mechanisms, including SAML, Kerberos, and X.509 certificates.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and provide rapid resolution in production environments.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to lead workshops and training sessions for both technical teams and business end-users.
- Experience in project management and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through the security lifecycle of a project.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP modules such as SD, MM, WM, PP, PM, and GTS is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for documenting security policies and presenting to stakeholders.
Engagement Details
This is a contract position based onsite in Raleigh, NC. Candidates must be prepared to work from the client location starting from the first day of the engagement. As we move through 2026, the complexity of SAP security continues to grow, and this role offers a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale S/4 HANA implementation. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
