Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP WM (Warehouse Management) Consultant to lead solution design, configuration, and production support for our distribution center operations. This role requires a deep understanding of warehouse logistics and the ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient SAP configurations. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and optimization of our warehouse systems, supporting users on the floor, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Configuration: Work on assigned incidents, service requests, and change requests. Provide real-time SAP WM support to warehouse users across receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Resolve issues related to Transfer Orders (TO) creation/confirmation, RF scanning, mobile transactions, Handling Units (HUs), and serial number inconsistencies.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system queues, failed IDocs, and interface issues affecting DC operations. Partner with warehouse supervisors to identify system gaps.
- Process Improvement: Analyze warehouse KPIs (TO cycle time, replenishment delays, pick performance) and convert insights into actionable configuration changes. Lead initiatives to enhance warehouse throughput.
- Business Process Support: Conduct requirement gathering workshops and process mapping. Provide support for day-to-day WM/IM operations.
- Integration Activities: Ensure seamless integration with SAP MM, SD, and ATTP (Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals). Support EDI and 3PL integrations.
- Testing & Documentation: Prepare and execute unit tests, integration tests, and UAT. Develop functional documentation and training materials.
Technical Qualifications
- Experience: 12+ years of hands-on SAP WM configuration and support experience.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and SAP WM/MM master data.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with RF devices, barcode scanning, and mobile data entry. Ability to create functional specs for ABAP developers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred.
- Plus Skills: Knowledge of SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) is highly desirable.

- Communication: Strong ability to train end users and explain complex concepts clearly.
- Analytical Thinking: Detail-oriented with a focus on root-cause analysis and managing multiple priorities.
- Leadership: Supervisory or project leadership duties as required by the project scope.
Special Requirements
Travel requirements to other Distribution Centers (DCs); Support required at DC floor; 6 months duration.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year
