Position Summary

The Saviynt IAM Consultant role is a specialized technical position focused on Identity Governance and Administration (IGA). As organizations move towards more secure, cloud-based identity solutions, the need for experts who can navigate the Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud (EIC) has never been greater. This role is based in Dallas, Texas, and requires a mandatory on-site presence of 3 to 5 days per week at the IBM offices. We are looking for a consultant with 8 to 12 years of overall IAM experience, with at least 4 to 7 years specifically focused on Saviynt. Your primary objective will be to support a major migration project, moving the customer from a legacy IGA solution to the modern Saviynt platform. This involves not just technical implementation, but also strategic optimization and platform enhancement. You will be responsible for the stability and operational excellence of the Saviynt environment.

Technical Requirements

  • Design and implement Saviynt workflows, rules engines, and analytics to support complex identity lifecycles.
  • Perform application onboarding using both Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) and custom connectors.
  • Develop custom logic using SQL, JSON, and Groovy scripting to extend platform capabilities.
  • Integrate Saviynt with cloud environments including Azure AD and AWS.
  • Manage certification campaigns and RBAC/ABAC design patterns.
  • Troubleshoot provisioning, connectors, and adoption issues within the EIC ecosystem.
  • Utilize REST/SOAP API integration patterns for cross-platform connectivity.
  • Maintain identity stores and perform schema mapping for diverse target systems.

Professional Expectations

This role includes configuring workflows, managing the rules engine, and utilizing analytics to provide insights into identity risks. Application onboarding is a significant part of the role; you will use both Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) connectors and develop custom connectors where necessary. You will automate identity lifecycles, including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) processes, to ensure that access is granted and revoked in a timely and secure manner. Certification campaigns will be under your purview, requiring a deep understanding of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and ABAC (Attribute-Based Access Control) design patterns. From a technical standpoint, you should be proficient in SQL for data querying, JSON for configuration, and Groovy scripting for implementing complex logic within the Saviynt platform. Integration with cloud platforms like Azure AD and AWS is essential, as these often serve as the target systems for identity synchronization. You will also need a strong grasp of directory services like Active Directory and LDAP, as well as experience with REST/SOAP API integration patterns. Beyond the technical skills, we value candidates who understand the broader security landscape. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Saviynt Professional/Engineer certifications are highly desirable. This is a 6 to 12-month contract that places you at the heart of one of the world’s leading technology firms, IBM, providing a platform to showcase your expertise in one of the most critical areas of modern cybersecurity. The consultant is also expected to be proficient in developing scripts to automate the provisioning and migration of identities across Cloud, OT, IOT and enterprise IT environments.

Special Requirements

Mandatory 3-5 days on-site in Dallas. Requires Saviynt EIC expertise and 8-12 years IAM experience. Experience with Groovy scripting and API integration is essential.
