Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead multiple high-priority technical projects within our Enterprise Data and Information Services (EDIS) division. This role is critical for driving Agile transformation and ensuring the successful delivery of complex data-driven initiatives in a fast-paced banking environment. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience, capable of navigating the intricacies of a large-scale financial institution while maintaining a focus on technical excellence and team empowerment. You will be responsible for guiding teams through the full software development lifecycle, ensuring that Agile principles are applied consistently and effectively to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.
- Lead cross-functional team members towards common outcomes and execution, ensuring that the team remains focused on the Sprint Goal and delivers high-quality increments.
- Work closely with business leaders to define the product backlog and prioritize sprints based on business value and technical feasibility.
- Manage project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables while navigating the complexities of a large financial institution’s regulatory environment.
- Participate in PI planning, capacity planning, and team sizing to meet stakeholder objectives and ensure resource optimization.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze and solve complex technical and organizational problems that may arise during the development lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of open and honest feedback, encouraging continuous improvement and learning from setbacks to drive team maturity.
- Identify and assess risks and issues, proactively mitigating them to ensure project timelines are met and stakeholders are kept informed.
- Perform impact analysis and prioritization to manage changes in project scope effectively without compromising the integrity of the sprint.
- Manage project teams that include both onshore and offshore resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication across different time zones and cultures.
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and protecting the team from outside interruptions to maintain high levels of productivity.
- Ensure the tracking and reporting of daily activities, meeting project budget, schedule, and risk targets through diligent use of Agile tools.
Technical and Domain Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in project management or software development lifecycles, with a proven track record of success.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically within the banking or financial services domain, understanding the unique challenges of data governance and security.
- Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Experience with Technology Implementation and a solid understanding of data analysis, with the ability to step into a Data Analyst role if required.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Big Query is highly desirable, as the team works extensively with cloud-based data solutions.
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is mandatory for this position.

Location and Logistics
This position is onsite in Brooklyn, OH. Candidates must reside within a 35-mile footprint of the client location to facilitate face-to-face collaboration and integration with the local team. This is a PV W2 role, and candidates must be prepared to provide a copy of their Visa and Driver’s License as part of the screening process. An active LinkedIn profile is also required for verification purposes. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence the data strategy of a major financial institution while working with cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
