Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in Retail/Ecommerce to join our team in Seattle, WA. This is a 12-month contract position that requires candidates to be local to the Seattle area. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, both manual and automated, and be proficient in agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.
- Implement and maintain robust test automation frameworks using languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Collaborate closely with development teams within an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies that cover functional, performance, and usability aspects.
- Utilize tools like Jira and TestRail for test case management and defect tracking.
- Work with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues effectively.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of combined experience in functional QA and test automation (SDET).
- Proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive manual and automated test strategies.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
- Strong experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in using Jira and TestRail.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Must have experience in the Retail/Ecommerce domain.
Location and Contract Details
- Location: Seattle, WA (Local candidates only).
- Duration: 12 Months contract.
