Role Overview
As a Senior Security Architect specializing in AI-enabled environments, you will be at the forefront of the strategic evolution of our development ecosystem. This role is pivotal in aligning advanced security standards with developer velocity, ensuring that our engineering teams can innovate rapidly without compromising on safety or compliance. You will lead the implementation and optimization of the GitHub Advanced Security platform and govern the usage of GitHub Copilot autonomous agents across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic evolution of the GitHub Advanced Security environment and GitHub Copilot configuration to ensure maximum protection and efficiency.
- Design and implement secure, automated CI/CD guardrails using CodeQL, secret scanning, and dependency scanning to catch vulnerabilities early in the lifecycle.
- Architect enterprise-scale AI-assisted development workflows, establishing strong security and quality controls for AI-generated code.
- Evolve and tune GitHub Advanced Security and Copilot configurations to achieve high accuracy while maintaining low developer friction.
- Govern the use of Copilot coding agents, ensuring that all AI-driven outputs meet rigorous enterprise security and quality standards.
- Implement automated scanning for code, secrets, and dependencies within CI/CD pipelines to create a seamless security experience.
- Leverage AI-driven autofix capabilities to accelerate the remediation of identified security flaws.
- Partner closely with development teams to interpret complex security findings and provide actionable remediation guidance.
- Enable the secure adoption of agent-based workflows, identifying recurring security trends and creating custom repository instructions.
- Define and track key metrics that shift the organizational security posture from reactive to proactive.
- Measure the impact of AI-assisted development on overall code quality and the reduction of security debt.
Technical Requirements
- Deep expertise with GitHub Advanced Security, including CodeQL, secret scanning, and Dependabot.
- Strong experience building robust GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates.
- Proven ability to scale GitHub Copilot in an enterprise environment, including Chat, Edits, and Agent modes.
- Hands-on experience with agent-driven task execution and AI orchestration.
- Strong background in technical advocacy and leadership, driving the adoption of security best practices across diverse engineering teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
