Job Summary
Sierra Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Security Consultant with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a remote contract position. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to leverage their skills in cloud security architecture and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and implement security solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Utilize Security Command Center (SCC) for monitoring, threat detection, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain security best practices for cloud environments.
- Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and services.
- Respond to security incidents and manage remediation efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies in cloud computing.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of overall IT experience.
- Extensive architecture and engineering experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Security Command Center (SCC).
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
