Position Summary: Senior AI Engineer
GAC Solutions is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead the development of next-generation AI-driven IVR and conversational systems. This is a fully remote contract position focused on building sophisticated NLP models and LLM-powered workflows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle and the ability to architect complex systems that enhance customer interactions through voice and chat channels.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and develop AI-driven IVR systems using Python as the primary programming language.
- Build and deploy Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for text classification and clustering to improve intent detection and call routing accuracy.
- Perform advanced data analysis using SQL on large-scale interaction datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Design and implement LLM workflows, including prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and rigorous evaluation frameworks.
- Lead the development of agentic AI workflows to handle multi-step, complex customer interactions autonomously.
- Establish and maintain LLMOps best practices, covering monitoring, evaluation, and lifecycle management of models in production.
- Partner closely with IVR platform teams, speech engineering, and product management to align AI capabilities with business goals.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to offshore teams and junior AI engineers.
Technical Stack and Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in AI and Machine Learning.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, XGBoost).
- Proven expertise in NLP using libraries such as spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, and Sentence-Transformers.
- Strong experience in data manipulation and analysis using SQL (Oracle, MySQL, SQLAlchemy).
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks including LangChain, LlamaIndex, and OpenAI SDK.
- Familiarity with Vector Databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Qdrant.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Agentic AI and multi-agent orchestration tools like LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
- Knowledge of LLMOps/MLOps tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, BentoML, or Airflow.
- Familiarity with IVR platforms and speech technologies including Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions in a remote environment.
Special Requirements
Remote; Mentorship of offshore/junior engineers required; Focus on Agentic AI and LLMOps.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
