Role Overview: Senior Azure AI Architect
We are looking for a visionary Senior Azure AI Architect with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry to lead our AI transformation initiatives. This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of deep technical expertise in the Azure ecosystem and the ability to communicate complex AI strategies to business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale AI solutions that drive significant business value and operational efficiency.
Technical Expertise and Experience
- Azure AI and Machine Learning: You must have at least 10 years of experience working with Azure AI and Machine Learning services. This includes a proven track record of architecting and deploying robust ML models in production environments, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable.
- Generative AI and Azure OpenAI: A minimum of 3 years of experience with Azure OpenAI is required. You should be well-versed in leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve real-world business problems, including the implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns and fine-tuning models for specific domains.
- Azure AI Foundry: We require experience with at least three large-scale implementations using Azure AI Foundry. You should be able to navigate the platform to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from experimentation to deployment.
- Document Intelligence and Search: Deep knowledge of Azure AI Document Intelligence and Azure AI Search is essential. You will design solutions that extract insights from unstructured data and provide advanced semantic search capabilities to enhance data discoverability.
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with Azure MCP and AutoGen is highly desirable. You should be at the forefront of AI orchestration and multi-agent systems, exploring how these technologies can be integrated into enterprise workflows.
Leadership and Strategic Impact
- Client Engagement: You must be able to have fluent, high-level conversations with customers regarding their business use cases. Translating complex business needs into technical architectures is a core part of this role.
- Architectural Governance: Define best practices for AI development, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness of all Azure-based AI solutions. You will be responsible for the overall technical integrity of the AI platform.
- Mentorship and Team Growth: Provide guidance to junior engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. You will lead by example in adopting modern engineering practices.
Requirements and Logistics
- 15+ years of total experience in IT and Software development.
- Must be currently residing in the United States.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required by project needs and client meetings.
- Immediate availability is preferred for this contract engagement.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $190,000 – $265,000 per year (Estimated)
