Job Opportunity: Senior Azure Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Integration Engineer with expertise in Logic Apps and IAM for a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Logic Apps: Develop and maintain robust Azure Logic Apps (Standard & Consumption). This includes deep understanding of API Connections, SQL connector authentication, Managed Identity authorization patterns, and workflow definitions (JSON), triggers, actions, and connectors. Experience modifying existing Logic Apps for new identity/auth patterns is crucial.
  • Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage System-assigned and User-assigned Managed Identities. Configure RBAC roles, SQL permissions (e.g., db_datareader, db_datawriter, custom roles), and Key Vault access policies. Possess a strong understanding of Azure AD, OAuth2, and the differences between service principal and Managed Identity authentication.
  • Azure Storage Accounts: Manage Azure Storage Accounts using Managed Identities, including assigning Storage RBAC roles (e.g., Storage Blob Data Reader/Contributor), configuring identity-based access for blob, queue, table, and file services, and replacing shared keys with identity-based authentication. Troubleshoot access failures related to RBAC propagation, ACLs, and network rules.
  • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code): Write and maintain Terraform code for Azure resources such as Logic Apps, API Connections, Key Vault, Managed Identities, SQL resources, and Storage Accounts with identity-based access and RBAC assignments. Experience with Terraform state management (remote backends), workspaces, and module structure is required. Ability to refactor existing Terraform to incorporate new authentication models is a plus.
  • SQL & Data Access: Familiarity with Azure SQL authentication through Managed Identities. Ability to validate connectivity, assign permissions, and troubleshoot SQL authentication failures.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps (Standard & Consumption).
  • Deep understanding of API Connections, SQL connector authentication, Managed Identity authorization patterns, and workflow definition (JSON), triggers, actions, and connectors.
  • Expertise with System-assigned and User-assigned Managed Identities.
  • Ability to configure RBAC roles, SQL permissions, and Key Vault access policies.
  • Strong understanding of Azure AD, OAuth2, and service principal vs. MI authentication differences.
  • Experience managing Azure Storage Accounts using Managed Identities.
  • Strong proficiency writing and maintaining Terraform code for Azure resources.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL authentication through Managed Identities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019
  • Azure Data Factory

This is a contract role with a rate of $65/hr. The position is fully remote.
