Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Azure Network Consultant with extensive experience in Azure vWAN and ExpressRoute design and implementation. This is a long-term contract role focused on building a high-availability, multi-region, private-connectivity architecture using Megaport and Azure vWAN. The architecture must be fully segmented into PCI and non-PCI zones to support scalable application, AI, and data layers. The role requires guiding the bank through configuration changes and IP address allow-listing for connectivity, with significant configuration work needed for traffic flow.
Key Components:
- Private Megaport/CoLo connectivity
- Full-mesh ExpressRoute design
- Dual-region Azure vWAN hubs
- Segmented PCI/non-PCI network domains
- Routing, ingress/egress, and secure access enforcement
- Application, AI, and data network segmentation
Responsibilities:
- Private Connectivity & CoLocation Integration: Validate and configure interconnect setup between on-premises data centers and cloud environments using Megaport-based private interconnects and colocation facilities for high-availability routing. Configure complex ingress/egress rules to manage controlled traffic paths. Integrate with VPN Gateways, NGINX Anycast, and Zscaler for secure and optimized routing.
- Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN) Deployment and Configuration: Deploy and configure Azure vWAN as the cloud network backbone. This includes setting up regional hubs in Australia East and Australia South East, establishing full multi-region routing, hub-to-hub connectivity, and policy-based traffic segmentation. Integrate with ExpressRoute, VPN, and SDWAN edge devices.
- Dual Megaport PoPs with Full Mesh Redundancy: Guide the bank for any configuration change and allow-listing of IP addresses for connectivity.
- Traffic Flow Requirements: Perform major configuration work required for traffic flow. Traffic will enter via Megaport Sydney or Melbourne, route into Azure vWAN hubs, and vWAN will distribute traffic to workloads across Azure regions and internal zones.
Must Have:
- Azure vWAN and ExpressRoute design experience.
- 14+ years of overall experience.

Salary: $166,400 – $187,200 per year (Estimated)
