Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Engineer with extensive experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence, specifically within Azure Data Platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models. This role requires a strong understanding of advanced DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to translate requirements into effective analytical visualizations and build reusable reporting datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Translate business requirements into effective analytical visualizations.
- Build reusable and well-structured reporting datasets.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and tables, including time intelligence and KPIs.
- Design optimized star and snowflake schema data models.
- Troubleshoot DAX calculation issues and optimize Power BI performance using tools such as DAX Studio and Performance Analyzer.
- Work within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem and integrate data from sources including Azure SQL and Azure Synapse.
- Build and manage Power BI Dataflows.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams, IT stakeholders, and offshore teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Business Intelligence.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure Data Platforms.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Advanced DAX, and Data Modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks.
- Strong understanding of BI Performance Optimization techniques.
