Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BI Engineer to lead modernization and migration projects for our business intelligence data assets. This role requires a strong background in data warehousing, ETL, SQL, Python, and cloud technologies, with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the modernization and migration of BI data assets, including ETL jobs, source tables, and analytical datasets.
  • Perform hands-on delivery and lead teams with 10+ years of proven experience in large-scale migration implementations.
  • Develop, refactor, and optimize complex SQL transformations.
  • Analyze and document end-to-end data lineage, mapping legacy warehouse tables to ETL jobs, workflows, and scheduling dependencies to enable safe decommissioning.
  • Design analytical data models and support semantic layers (e.g., Business Objects Universe) to enable consistent metrics.
  • Utilize strong command of SQL, Snowflake, Python, and AWS for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Batch, S3, and EC2 for data processing and infrastructure.
  • Ensure strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and certification practices.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in BI and data warehousing.
  • Expertise in modernizing and migrating BI data assets.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex transformations.
  • Experience in analyzing and documenting data lineage.
  • Skilled in designing analytical data models and semantic layers (e.g., Business Objects Universe).

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
