Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst III will serve as a pivotal link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align perfectly with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on Agile frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and meticulously document detailed business and system requirements, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable specifications for development teams.
- User Story Creation: Develop comprehensive user stories, complete with precise acceptance criteria, to guide development efforts and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Quality Assurance (QA) Review: Conduct thorough QA reviews of user stories, functional specifications, and non-functional requirements to identify potential gaps, inconsistencies, or ambiguities before development commences.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordination: Strategically coordinate and guide UAT activities, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure that developed solutions meet their operational needs and achieve desired outcomes. This includes planning, execution, and sign-off management.
- Design Support: Contribute to user-centered design principles by developing wireframes and collaborating with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive and effective user interfaces.
- Agile Leadership: Actively lead and facilitate various Agile ceremonies, including Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Sprint Retrospectives, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Application Analysis & Troubleshooting: Provide expert application analysis, troubleshoot system issues, and work with technical teams to implement timely and effective resolutions.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, proposing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve overall system performance.
Required Skills and Experience
- Agile Business Analysis: A minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in Agile Business Analysis, demonstrating proficiency in all facets of Agile project delivery.
- User Story & Backlog Management: Strong expertise in creating well-defined user stories, managing product backlogs, and prioritizing features effectively to maximize business value.
- Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industry-standard Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- QA Validation: Proven ability to perform QA validation of user stories and assess their readiness for development, ensuring high-quality input for engineering teams.
- UAT Management: Extensive experience in coordinating UAT, managing stakeholder sign-offs, and ensuring successful deployment of new features and applications.
- Consulting & Problem Solving: Demonstrated experience in consulting on application analysis and effectively resolving complex system issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate productive discussions.
- Location: This role requires consistent onsite presence in Austin, TX. Candidates must be local to Texas.
