Job Overview
Flexon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior C++ Developer with over 7 years of experience to join our team. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and supporting critical telecom and contact center solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong C++ development expertise, a deep understanding of telecommunication protocols, and practical experience with contact center platforms operating in high-availability, real-time environments. This is a contract position requiring a candidate who can contribute immediately to complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications tailored for telecom and contact center systems.
- Work extensively with real-time, multithreaded, and distributed systems, ensuring high reliability and low latency.
- Develop and integrate sophisticated solutions involving call control, media handling, and session management.
- Implement and support essential features for Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), call routing, call recording, and analytics.
- Integrate telecom applications seamlessly with SIP-based networks, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), Voice over IP (VoIP), and various third-party systems.
- Debug complex production issues, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and implement permanent, robust fixes.
- Collaborate effectively with system architects, Quality Assurance (QA) teams, DevOps engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Uphold high standards for coding practices, performance benchmarks, and security guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
- Actively participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior developers, sharing expertise and contributing to the establishment of technical best practices within the team.
Required Technical Skills
Core C++ Development
- Strong proficiency in C++ (specifically C++11/14/17 standards).
- Extensive experience working within Linux/Unix environments.
- Expertise in multithreading, advanced memory management techniques, Inter-Process Communication (IPC), and socket programming.
- Advanced debugging skills utilizing tools such as gdb, valgrind, and core dump analysis.
Telecom & Contact Center Domain Expertise
- Demonstrated hands-on experience within the Telecom and Contact Center domains.
- In-depth understanding of critical telecom protocols including:
- SIP, RTP/RTCP, SDP
- SS7, ISDN, PRI (highly desirable)
- Proven experience with VoIP architectures and detailed call flow analysis.
- Knowledge of key Contact Center solutions and functionalities such as:
- IVR, ACD, CTI
- Advanced call routing strategies, call recording capabilities, and workforce management systems.
- Experience integrating telecom applications with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other external APIs.
Platforms & Tools (Familiarity with any of the following is a significant plus)
- Experience with leading platforms like Genesys, Avaya, Cisco, NICE, Amazon Connect, or similar industry-standard solutions.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and XML data formats.
- Proficiency with build tools such as Make and CMake, and compilers like GCC.
- Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN.
- Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is advantageous.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Capability to manage and support production-critical systems, including on-call responsibilities.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $95 per year (Estimated)
