Position Summary
UKR, Inc. is seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-generation data ecosystems. This remote-first role is intended for a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in data engineering and architecture. As organizations increasingly move toward AI-driven decision-making, the role of the Cloud Data Architect has become the cornerstone of digital transformation. You will be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that empower our clients to leverage their data as a strategic asset.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive cloud data strategies using AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Architect robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data lakes that support real-time analytics and machine learning workloads.
- Lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models into the core data architecture to drive automated insights.
- Establish and enforce data governance, security, and privacy standards across all cloud environments to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality data solutions in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Evaluate and select emerging technologies and tools to enhance the data platform’s capabilities and cost-efficiency.
- Develop high-level architectural blueprints and documentation that clearly communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 8 years focused specifically on Cloud Data Architecture.
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud-native data services (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks).
- Proven experience in designing distributed systems and microservices-based data architectures.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala for data processing.
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (Dimensional, Data Vault, etc.) and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with DevOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their integration into enterprise data platforms.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
