Position Summary
Resource Consulting Services Inc. (RCI) is looking for a Principal or Senior Consultant specializing in the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) for a critical 7-month remote engagement. This role is centered on leading the design and implementation of a modern authentication pattern for a major client in the Financial Services Industry (FSI). The primary objective is to replace legacy authentication solutions with a robust, secure framework utilizing HashiCorp Vault for AAP server authentication. This is a high-visibility project requiring a blend of deep technical expertise and strategic consulting skills.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver a secure authentication pattern to integrate AAP servers with HashiCorp Vault.
- Lead the technical implementation to replace existing authentication workflows with modern, secret-management-based solutions.
- Provide expert guidance and hands-on support for the client’s migration from AAP version 2.4 to version 2.6.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the FSI region, ensuring all delivery meets the stringent security and compliance standards of the financial sector.
- Communicate complex architectural decisions and project milestones to executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with client infrastructure and security teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime during the migration.
- Document all architectural designs, implementation steps, and operational procedures for the new authentication framework.
Required Expertise
- Extensive delivery experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), specifically version 2.4.
- In-depth knowledge of AAP 2.6 features and migration strategies.
- Proven expertise in architecting and implementing HashiCorp Vault for enterprise-level secret management and authentication.
- Previous experience delivering technical solutions within the Financial Services Industry (FSI) is highly preferred due to the specific regulatory requirements.
- Strong consulting background with the ability to lead complex technical workstreams independently.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of legacy system modernization.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $170,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
