Job Description:
We are looking for a highly accomplished Senior Data Engineer with over 12 years of experience delivering scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions across banking, finance, retail, and operations domains. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in building and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines using modern technologies such as Databricks, PySpark, and cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP. Sethu has a proven track record in designing data lake and data warehouse architectures, implementing robust ETL/ELT frameworks, and driving large-scale cloud migrations with strong focus on performance, reliability, and data quality. His hands-on experience with big data tools like Spark, Kafka, and Airflow, combined with strong SQL and Python skills, enables him to handle complex, high-volume data environments efficiently. Additionally, his ability to work across cross-functional teams, automate processes, and ensure governance and compliance in regulated environments makes him a dependable and high-impact contributor who can quickly drive value in any data engineering initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop and optimize data lake and data warehouse architectures.
- Implement and manage data solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Utilize big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
- Write efficient SQL queries and Python scripts for data manipulation and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance in regulated environments.
- Automate data processes and improve system efficiency.
- Perform large-scale cloud migrations.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Expertise in Databricks, PySpark, Spark, Kafka, Airflow.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Strong understanding of data lake and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience in banking, finance, retail, and operations domains is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Open to relocation in East Coast areas.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per hour (Estimated)
