Role Overview
TestingXperts is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineering Consultant to join our growing practice. This role is based in Nashville, TN, with full remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to enterprise-level data solutions from anywhere in the United States. As a consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data systems that serve as the foundation for our clients’ digital transformations. We are looking for a candidate with a deep technical background in database technologies, ETL/ELT frameworks, and Master Data Management (MDM) tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT frameworks to ensure seamless data flow across disparate systems.
- Develop and optimize complex queries for PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases to support high-performance analytics and reporting.
- Integrate and manage Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, with a specific focus on Ataccama or similar enterprise-grade tools.
- Perform comprehensive data profiling and implement data quality management protocols to maintain the integrity of corporate data assets.
- Implement automated testing, monitoring, and alerting systems for data comparisons and integrity checks to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business stakeholders, to define data architecture and governance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical performance bottlenecks related to data processing and storage.
Primary Skills
- Expert proficiency in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server database management and optimization.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT frameworks in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Ataccama or other leading MDM tools for data orchestration and governance.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Data Profiling and Data Quality Management methodologies.
- Proven track record in Query Optimization and database performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a significant plus.
- Strong consulting mindset with the ability to lead client engagements and provide strategic technical recommendations.

Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
