- Act as a technical mentor and lead for a team of Data Scientists, guiding their workflows, conducting rigorous code reviews, and ensuring high levels of productivity and technical excellence.
- Design and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models for forecasting, classification, and optimization using GCP services such as Vertex AI and BigQuery.
- Collaborate deeply with data engineering teams to architect and optimize robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow for model training and inference.
- Drive the adoption of MLOps best practices to operationalize models efficiently, managing the entire model lifecycle including versioning and performance tracking.
- Utilize cutting-edge AI technologies, including Transformers, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to build next-generation intelligent applications.
- Translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights through sophisticated data visualization and reporting for executive stakeholders.
Required Technical Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in data science, with a proven track record of building and deploying models in production environments.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Technical Lead or Data Science Lead capacity, managing high-performing technical teams.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, with extensive experience using AI/ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Deep hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, specifically Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Vector Databases.
- Strong foundational knowledge of ML theory, including deep learning architectures, prompt engineering, and the fine-tuning of LLMs.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deploy ML pipelines in cloud environments, with a focus on scalability and security.
- Experience adhering to strict data governance, security, and compliance standards within an enterprise setting.
Behavioral Competencies and Impact
The ideal candidate is a fast learner and an early adopter of emerging technologies who can pivot quickly in a dynamic environment. You must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps. Communication is key; you will be expected to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that the data science team’s output aligns with broader corporate objectives. We value professionals who take full ownership of their work and can demonstrate a clear impact on the business, whether through significant cost savings, efficiency gains, or the creation of new revenue streams. This role requires a team player who is willing to wear different hats and lead by example in a 100% hands-on technical capacity.
Special Requirements
