Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Databricks Data Engineer to join our client’s team in Dallas, Texas. This is an onsite position requiring local candidates. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and ETL processes, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Spark.
  • Perform complex data analysis and implement ETL processes.
  • Optimize data models and ensure efficient performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Write efficient and maintainable code in Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8-10+ years of overall experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry data.
  • Experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
