Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Durham, NC. This is a hybrid role requiring local presence. The ideal candidate will have 7-9 years of DevSecOps experience, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. You will be responsible for supporting production critical infrastructure, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system security and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support production critical infrastructure across Linux and Windows servers on a day-to-day basis.
- Handle routine patching, system hardening, and operational support.
- Work closely with development teams to maintain Jenkins servers.
- Troubleshoot build issues and build or enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Support enterprise code signing workflows using HSM-backed solutions.
- Perform security remediation, responding to findings from automated security scanning tools.
- Coordinate fixes across cloud and server environments.
- Track and manage all work through Jira.
- Collaborate with Dev, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure systems remain secure, stable, and compliant.
- Understand how to code in mainstream languages, with a preference for PowerShell and Python.
- Resolve critical CVEs (critical vulnerabilities on servers).
- Gain exposure to cyber security environments.
- Utilize Git for code source management.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
Must-Haves:
- 7-9 years of DevSecOps experience.
- Ability to understand how to code in mainstream languages (Python and/or PowerShell; this team uses PowerShell more than Python).
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers.
- Resolution of critical CVEs (critical vulnerabilities that pop up on servers).
- Good experience/exposure in cyber security environments.
- Experience with Jenkins, AWS, EC2 CI/CD pipelines.
- Git code source experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Pluses:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, specifically Terraform (training can be provided).
- Experience with code signing frameworks.
- Relevant certifications.
- SVN code source experience.
Day to Day:
On a day-to-day basis, this role supports production critical infrastructure across Linux and Windows servers, handling routine patching, system hardening, and operational support. The engineer works closely with development teams to maintain Jenkins servers, troubleshoot build issues, and build or enhance CI/CD pipelines, including supporting enterprise code signing workflows using HSM-backed solutions. A significant portion of the role involves security remediation, responding to findings from automated security scanning tools and coordinating fixes across cloud and server environments. All work is tracked and managed through Jira, with regular collaboration across Dev, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure systems remain secure, stable, and compliant.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
