Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience to join our engineering team in Seattle, WA. This onsite role is designed for a technical leader who can architect, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure full-stack applications. You will be working with a modern tech stack centered around React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, driving the development of mission-critical systems that serve a high-throughput transactional environment. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, architectural vision, and the ability to mentor and lead other engineers.
Core Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: You will be responsible for the high-level design of our application ecosystem. This includes defining technical roadmaps, conducting design reviews, and ensuring that our architecture is robust, scalable, and future-proof.
- Front-End Engineering: Build responsive, accessible, and component-driven user interfaces using React, Hooks, and state management libraries like Redux or Context API. You will ensure that all interfaces are WCAG-compliant and optimized for maximum performance.
- Back-End Engineering: Design and develop high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js. You will build and maintain microservices-based architectures, implementing asynchronous processing and event-driven patterns to handle complex business logic.
- Database Ownership: Design, model, and maintain relational database schemas in PostgreSQL. You will be responsible for writing optimized SQL queries, managing indexes, and ensuring data integrity and transactional consistency across the platform.
- Quality & Reliability: Drive a culture of quality by implementing comprehensive automated testing strategies. This includes unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing using frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Security & Compliance: Implement advanced authentication and authorization protocols using OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT. You will ensure that all code aligns with OWASP Top 10 guidelines and supports SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance requirements.
- Cloud & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and deploy workloads in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). You will collaborate on Kubernetes orchestration and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
Technical Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years in full-stack software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale systems.
- Stack: Expert-level proficiency in ReactJS, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Tools: Experience with TypeScript, Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and modern CI/CD tooling.
- Leadership: Strong experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $210,000 – $290,000 per year (Estimated)
