Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Generative AI Engineer with a strong background in Data Science and Machine Learning to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. This is a 6-month contract role focused on developing and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions, particularly leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fine-tuning LLMs, prompt engineering, and building AI agents. This role requires an onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced Generative AI solutions, focusing on LLMs and their applications.
- Perform fine-tuning of LLMs to optimize performance for specific tasks.
- Engage in prompt engineering to elicit desired outputs from AI models.
- Evaluate and refine AI model performance through rigorous testing and analysis.
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and vector search solutions.
- Build and deploy AI agents using frameworks such as Autogen, LangChain, or OpenAI agents.
- Integrate AI solutions using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code for AI/ML applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to complex AI/ML components independently.
- Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and explore innovative AI solutions.
- Work within an agile team environment, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a highly skilled Data Scientist.
- Deep understanding of machine learning principles and generative AI workflows.
- Proven hands-on expertise with LLMs, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
- Strong experience in RAG architectures and vector search implementations.
- Practical experience building and deploying AI agents using Autogen, LangChain agents, OpenAI agents, or custom agent frameworks.
- Experience integrating solutions using Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Basic programming foundation in Python, with experience working across relevant AI/ML frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive independently in agile teams.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex AI concepts.
- Demonstrates innovation and a willingness to explore emerging technologies.
- Broad understanding of AI Solutions, specifically standard RAG-based solutions.
- Deeper understanding of AI/ML concepts.
- Should work on complex AI/ML components independently.
