Position Summary
KMM Technologies is looking for a Senior Informatica Developer to join a premium client’s Enterprise Data team in Reston, VA. This is a high-impact role focused on supporting and enhancing Data Warehouse applications. The successful candidate will leverage Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC to build scalable ETL solutions within a hybrid work environment. This role requires a blend of technical excellence in data engineering and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance teams to ensure data integrity and performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial software applications using Informatica PowerCenter as the primary ETL engine.
- Translate financial business requirements into functional technical specifications and high-performance software solutions.
- Design and execute ETL workflows, ensuring rigorous data validation and high data quality across large-scale pipelines.
- Migrate legacy PowerCenter workflows to Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to modernize the data stack.
- Utilize AWS services including EMR, Redshift, Glue, and S3 for cloud-based data processing and storage.
- Automate data pipelines and administrative tasks using Python to increase operational efficiency.
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker for consistent development and deployment across environments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (24/7 for one week per month) to provide critical production support.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive project momentum.
Technical Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in ETL development with deep expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC and cloud migration strategies for enterprise-level data.
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services including S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS, and SQS.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and optimizing Redshift, Postgres, and Oracle databases.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Autosys, MWAA, or Redwood for complex workflow management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Terraform for automated deployments.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies for ETL, including unit, integration, and regression testing for data accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Work Environment and Culture
This is a hybrid position requiring four days onsite in Reston, VA, and one day remote. Candidates must be comfortable with this schedule and the required on-call rotation.
