Role Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior IT Risk & SOX Controls Analyst to join our Business Control Risk Management team. This long-term engagement, supporting Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for a major financial services client, focuses on the execution of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the technology landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT SOX audits, regulatory examinations, and control validation within a high-stakes financial environment. This role is based in Dallas, TX, and follows a hybrid model requiring two days of onsite presence per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate IT SOX audits, internal reviews, and regulatory examinations to ensure compliance with federal and industry standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between internal Technology teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Identify, assess, and document technology risks across diverse domains including Network Security, Access Management, and Cybersecurity.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and validate remediation plans for identified deficiencies.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative regulatory risk data to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Partner with the Second Line of Defense (2LoD) to review and update risk management frameworks and organizational policies.
- Monitor the evolving U.S. financial regulatory landscape to ensure the organization remains ahead of legal and compliance changes.
- Drive a culture of risk awareness and compliance excellence across all technology infrastructure and engineering teams.
Technical Domain Expertise
The successful candidate will provide oversight and risk assessment for the following critical technology areas:
- Network Security: Reviewing firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and secure network architecture.
- Access Management: Auditing Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols and privileged access controls.
- Cybersecurity: Assessing threat mitigation strategies and incident response readiness.
- IT Architecture: Evaluating the risk profile of enterprise-level architectural designs.
- SDLC: Ensuring security and compliance are integrated into the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Disaster Recovery: Validating business continuity plans and technical recovery capabilities.
- Infrastructure Engineering: Assessing risks associated with server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in IT Risk Management or IT Audit.
- Proven expertise in IT SOX controls and managing large-scale audit examinations.
- Prior experience within the financial services industry is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting risk findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Dallas, TX.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is considered a significant advantage.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
