Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable enterprise applications for a leading financial services client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, coupled with practical experience in modern frontend technologies, cloud platforms, and CI/CD practices. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring local candidates to Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java / Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Architect and implement scalable backend services, ensuring seamless integration with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.
- Engage in full-stack development when necessary, leveraging technologies such as Angular or React to build comprehensive solutions.
- Actively participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and performance optimization initiatives to ensure code quality and efficiency.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes using tools like Jenkins and Git.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Contribute to the overall technical strategy and architecture of the application.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Java development.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with REST APIs and backend service development.
- Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven, Jenkins).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
