Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Java Developer with a full-stack mindset to join our enterprise development team in Dallas, TX. With over 11 years of experience, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining scalable and secure microservices. This role is critical for our digital transformation initiatives, requiring a deep understanding of modern Java ecosystems, cloud-native deployments, and rigorous security standards. You will work in a high-velocity Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver premium software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring code is clean, maintainable, and secure.
- Implement complex business logic and ensure comprehensive unit and integration test coverage using JUnit and Mockito.
- Lead technical design discussions and participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
- Proactively identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, specifically addressing findings from Veracode scans and following OWASP guidelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to manage and optimize Kubernetes-based deployments, including pod configuration and service management.
- Engage in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of committed features.
- Handle full-stack tasks involving React for frontend components and Python for auxiliary scripting or data processing needs.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Expertise in Core Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Strong foundation in Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Advanced testing skills with JUnit and Mockito, maintaining high code coverage.
- Proven experience in secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation (Veracode/OWASP).
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, including deployments, services, and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, with a focus on JSON data handling and optimization.
- Extensive experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka for producer/consumer patterns.
- Experience with API automation testing frameworks like Karate.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling such as Harness, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on enterprise-grade security standards.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
