  • High Availability with Veritas: Act as the subject matter expert for Veritas Cluster Server (VCS/InfoScale). Configure multi-node clusters, manage service groups, and lead disaster recovery (DR) drills.
  • Storage and File Systems: Manage SAN/NAS integration, LUN provisioning, and multipathing. Expert-level management of VxVM, VxFS, XFS, and NFS exports.
  • Automation and DevOps: Improve Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations by developing automation scripts in Bash and Python. Implement configuration management using Ansible to ensure environment consistency.
  • Data Center Coordination: Partner with physical data center teams for hardware lifecycle management, including racking, cabling, and troubleshooting hardware faults (CPU, RAID, NIC) with vendors like Dell, HP, and Cisco.
  • Security Hardening: Audit and implement security benchmarks (CIS), manage SELinux policies, and oversee system-wide patching strategies with robust rollback plans.

Incident and Problem Management

  • Lead technical recovery efforts during P1/P2 incidents, driving bridge calls and coordinating between cross-functional teams.
  • Perform comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, including SOPs, Runbooks, and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.

Required Experience

  • 8-12+ years of enterprise-level Linux system administration experience.
  • Proven expertise in Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM).
  • Strong background in networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Bonding) and host-level security.
  • Experience with VMware/KVM and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
  • Excellent communication skills for leading incident response and mentoring junior staff.

Special Requirements

Visa: USC or GC only. Role involves L3 escalation and on-call rotation.
