Job Title: Senior Mainframe Application Developer
Arborteksys is seeking a Senior Mainframe Application Developer with over 10 years of experience for a contract position. This role is based in Wilmington, DE, with a 5-day onsite requirement. The contract is for 12 months and has the possibility of extension. We are looking for candidates with strong technical skills in IBM Mainframe technologies and a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
- Implement and support IBM MQ for messaging solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in on-call support, including weekends, on a rotation basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability and performance.
- Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, including CI/CD practices.
- Contribute to building an innovative and collaborative work culture.
- Ensure application resiliency and security best practices are followed.
