Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Mainframe Engineer/Developer with extensive experience in FIS (Systematics) on z/OS and JCL. This is a remote, contract position working with our direct client, Navy Federal Credit Union. The role has been open for some time, and we are seeking candidates with true z/OS mainframe depth, not AS400/CL experience. Candidates must have at least 5 years of recent FIS (Systematics) experience and a minimum of 10 years of recent Cobol and JCL experience. Additionally, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working physically within the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and FIS (Systematics).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project timelines.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the overall system design and architecture.
Required Skills & Experience:
- IBM Mainframe COBOL: 10 Years
- IBM Mainframe JCL: 10 Years
- IBM Mainframe Tools (Sort/IDCAMS/ADRDSSU): 10 Years
- FIS (Systematics) on z/OS: 5 to 10 Years
- EZTrieve: 5+ Years
- Excel Experience: 5+ Years
- ChangeMan: 5+ Years
- CICS: 3-5 Years
- Minimum of 10 years of recent Cobol and JCL experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent FIS (Systematics) experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working physically in the US.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must have a strong understanding of z/OS mainframe environments.
- Experience with AS400/CL will not be considered a substitute for z/OS experience.
- Candidates who have previously interviewed for this specific role (Job ID 16575) will not be considered.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $55 – $75 per year (Estimated)
