Role Overview: Senior HFM Techno-Functional Developer
We are looking for a Senior Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Consultant to join our team in Plano, Texas. This is a critical techno-functional role requiring a deep understanding of financial consolidation processes combined with advanced technical development skills. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience specifically within the Oracle Hyperion ecosystem, with a focus on on-premise HFM solutions. This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week at our Plano headquarters to collaborate directly with our finance and accounting departments.
Core Responsibilities and Technical Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain complex HFM applications to support global financial consolidation and reporting.
- Expertly manage HFM Rule Files and develop custom VB Script rules to automate complex financial logic.
- Collaborate closely with accounting teams to translate business requirements into robust technical specifications.
- Optimize HFM business rules, data forms, and metadata to ensure maximum system performance and data accuracy.
- Utilize Hyperion Financial Web Reporting Studio to create and update sophisticated Financial Reports (HFR).
- Leverage Oracle Smart View for advanced data analysis, including the development of VB Macro-based automation.
- Manage integrations between HFM and other enterprise systems such as ERP, Essbase, and data warehouses.
- Oversee inbound and outbound data flows using FDMEE, Jython scripting, and SAP text file integrations.
- Conduct comprehensive unit testing, system testing, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide high-level support and training to end-users, ensuring best practices are followed across the finance organization.
- Monitor system performance and implement continuous enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
- 10-15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 10 years dedicated to on-premise Oracle HFM.
- Advanced proficiency in VB.NET and VB Scripting for HFM rule development.
- Strong experience with FDMEE, Jython Scripting, and Smart View automation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide undivided attention to project deliverables during business hours.
- Preferred experience with Oracle Cloud solutions including FCCS, EPBCS, and OAC.
Work Environment and Expectations
This role is based in Plano, TX, and requires a local presence for a hybrid work model (3 days onsite). Candidates must be reachable and available during standard business hours (9 AM – 5 PM CST). Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
