Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PeopleSoft Security Administrator to join our technical team in Mineola, NY. This is a critical role requiring a deep understanding of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) security architectures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex security structures within PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 and 9.2 environments. This position requires a hands-on expert who can navigate the intricacies of row-level security, dynamic security, and the latest Fluid security features to ensure data integrity and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage comprehensive security definitions, including User Profiles, Roles, and Permission Lists tailored to specific business needs.
- Implement and support advanced security features such as Row Level Security, Dynamic Security, and Department Tree Security to control data access at a granular level.
- Configure and maintain security for core HCM modules, including Time & Labor, Absence Management, HR, Payroll, and Benefits.
- Manage PeopleSoft 9.2 Fluid security to ensure a seamless and secure user experience across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Oversee the migration of security objects and projects across multiple environments (Development, Test, QA, and Production) using PHIRE version control.
- Utilize JIRA for tracking security-related tickets, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Collaborate with database administrators to optimize security performance on Oracle 19 or later database versions.
- Provide expert recommendations for fixing existing security vulnerabilities and streamlining access request processes.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience specifically focused on implementing and supporting PeopleSoft HCM modules.
- Extensive hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM versions 9.1 and 9.2.
- Proven expertise in PeopleTools security, Process Group security, Query security, and User Preferences.
- Strong knowledge of Structure & Content and Application security within the PeopleSoft framework.
- Experience with PHIRE for version control and JIRA for project management and issue tracking.
- Solid understanding of Oracle 19c database security protocols and their integration with PeopleSoft.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Soft Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field; or 5+ years of equivalent corporate IT experience.
- Exceptional technical documentation skills, with the ability to create clear security manuals and process flows.
- Strong customer service orientation, capable of interacting with business stakeholders to define access requirements.
- Self-motivated, independent worker with a ‘take charge’ attitude and a strong focus on business outcomes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting complex security conflicts.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
