Position Summary
Predica Inc is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior QA Analyst for a long-term contract engagement with the State of Michigan in Lansing. This role is critical to the success of large-scale public sector projects, particularly within the Public Health domain. The Senior QA Analyst will be responsible for leading the quality assurance lifecycle, from initial test planning to final closure. We are looking for a professional who not only possesses deep technical expertise in automated and manual testing but also has the leadership qualities necessary to mentor team members and guide stakeholders through the complexities of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This position requires a local presence in Michigan and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of software quality for vital government services.
Core Responsibilities
- QA Leadership: Lead and review all phases of QA testing, including functional testing and system integration testing (SIT). Ensure that all testing activities align with project goals and quality standards.
- UAT Coordination: Over 8 years of experience is required in coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on large-scale projects, ensuring that business requirements are met and that end-users are prepared for system transitions.
- Defect Management: Maintain and manage comprehensive test logs and defect logs. You will be responsible for reviewing, prioritizing, and tracking defects through to resolution, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly.
- Automation Testing: Utilize advanced automated testing tools such as Provar, Selenium, and SmartBear to create and execute robust test scripts. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with these tools is required.
- DevOps Integration: Leverage DevOps tools to maintain test cases, manage test plans, and integrate quality checks into the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and feedback to junior testing team members, promoting testing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the organization.
- Documentation & Metrics: Prepare detailed testing closure documents and share key testing metrics with project leadership. Ensure that all testing logs are updated and that projects transition smoothly to the maintenance phase.
- Public Health Domain: Apply domain-specific knowledge to projects within the Public Health area, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Technical Requirements and Compliance
The successful candidate will have over 8 years of experience in QA leadership and a proven track record of success on large-scale projects. Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and DevOps tools is essential. Due to the nature of this contract with the State of Michigan, we require candidates who are local to the Michigan area. Applicants must be prepared to provide a copy of their local Michigan Driver’s License as part of the screening process. Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
